A: AnswerHi Annie - Thanks for your interest in GE Model # GFT14ESSMWW! Ventless dryers can be installed conveniently in a closet, placed under a counter or stacked in a corner without the need to vent externally. Ventless condenser dryers use a dual loop airflow system. The first loop draws in a small amount of ambient air which passes through the condenser for initial heating. The heated air is then pushed into the drum, where it heats up the wet laundry and causes water to evaporate. This air is then looped back into the condenser where it's cooled down - that's the second loop. The air that's already inside the condenser is reheated and sent back into the drum to repeat the process until the clothes are dry. The water that is extracted goes to a tank or an external drain. General Electric condenser Dryer
This dryer machine is powerful! Its drying power is amazing. I love the compact size. It's great for a small apartment living. No need to vent out! Hallelujah! Fits in my small pantry closet.

Perfect for small spaces
Purchased dryer with matching washer with stacking kit and was installed by Geek Squad. After install & test run was completed by Geek Squad a small load of laundry was washed and put in dryer. Dryer is very quiet. Laundry came out completely dried with no damp spots found. Dryer is not difficult to program for whatever your drying needs are.

Dry clothes well, but too noisy.
- Noisy - The brand new dryer was very noisy. It was recording 70dB+ with a sound meter. - Heat & Humidity release - Due to its ventless & condensation design, a lot of heat will be released from the unit as well as humidity. It needs to be placed in space with good air circulation or dry air. - Hot - The unit gets very hot while operating. - Dry efficiency - It does dry the clothe effectively and sensor dry worked effectively. It adjust cloth time and often ends cycle earlier than initial setting which I found very good.
